Steven G. Desautels, MD

Dr. Desautels was born in Florida and received his B.S. degree in Microbiology and his medical degree at the University of Florida.  Dr. Desautels completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Utah where he was awarded both the Intern of the Year and Outstanding Resident Award.  He completed  his specialty training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.  His career has been distinguished by awards for excellence in clinical research by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Gastroenterology and the American College of Physicians. Dr. Desautels is a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine in Gastroenterology. Dr. Desautels specializes in esophageal disorders, gastroesophageal reflux disease, cancer of the GI tract, Functional disorders of the GI tract and Therapeutic Endoscopy including ERCP.   He is active on the staff at Alta View Hospital, Riverton Hospital, and Lone Peak Hospital.
