“I enjoy gastroenterology because of the chance it give me to make a difference in my patient’s lives. I enjoy all aspects of gastroenterology from curing hepatitis C, to managing Crohns disease and Ulcerative colitis and to diagnosing and preventing colon cancer. Gastroenterology encompasses a wide spectrum of diseases and symptoms which encourages me to stay on the forefront of knowledge as new discoveries are made every month. Gastrointestinal disorders greatly affect our quality of life. It is one the largest organs in the body that interacts with the outside environment and is subject to a myriad of disorders including infections, cancers, auto-immune, psychological, and dietary. I like to take a practical approach towards ones gastrointestinal health and consider all of the factors that can cause symptoms. My own family has been affected by colon cancer so I am aware of the worry that many patients have about their symptoms.

I went to Cottonwood High School and graduated from the University of Utah Medical School. I owe a debt to the great people of Utah to help get their gastrointestinal symptoms under control so that they can enjoy the wonderful culture and natural beauty that our state has to offer. Through careful one-on-one discussion and appropriate use of lab testing, radiology, and endoscopy, I will try my best to find the cause of whatever is concerning my patients. Our office is dedicated to promptly answering our patients’ concerns and questions.”
