I approach medicine as a collaboration between patient and provider. Healthcare is continually becoming more personalized – one treatment does not fit all. We have multiple treatment avenues for health maintenance and disease prevention. In addition, the health insight of each patient provides a valuable resource that should not be ignored. My aim is to offer progressive care which is tailored to the specific needs of individual patients.
The most effective care is that which inhibits disease from ever becoming reality. As a gastroenterologist, I am especially interested in colorectal cancer prevention through high-quality screening colonoscopy and the management of pre-cancerous lesions.
At the same time, the successful management of active illness is life altering. Gastroesophageal reflux disease, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and motility disorders can be debilitating. I am excited to assist these patients in living their lives without the restraints of gastrointestinal ailments.
I grew up in West Michigan and completed training in the Metro Detroit area. I have experience providing healthcare at both the community and tertiary level and have worked with patients from many different walks of life.
I was drawn to Utah by the opportunity to reunite with my family and live in one of the most beautiful and unique regions in the world.
