The staff were very caring and highly professional. I mixed up the date for the procedure and had been preparing during the previous day and a half. They kindly worked me into their schedule making a stressful experience much better.

I have seen Dr. R. Kyle Barnett for more than 10 years and each time I am very pleased by his experience, professionalism, expertise, kindness, and empathy. He is an outstanding gastroenterologist. His staff is also great. Highly recommend Dr. Barnett and Granite Peaks Gastroenterology

So the prep for a colonoscopy is traumatic and barely survivable. The team at Granite starting with reception was 100% welcoming, calming, caring and sufficient! I am a satisfied and recovered patient!! Highly recommend!!!

Everything went well. The only thing I can say is that when I woke up, the pillow I had was wet. At first I thought it was because I had drooled, but I now believe it was because I had been crying during the procedure. I have had an experience before where I was sobbing and crying due to pain during a colonoscopy. My husband could hear this and came in to stop the doctor from proceeding. I don’t remember what happened but my husband explained it to me when I woke up. This absolutely should have been explained to me when I woke up. I hope this doesn’t ever happen again.

My goodness! I have been going there for 10 years now. I live out of state and still come back to town to see Dr. Barnett because no one could hold a candle to this clinic. He is very kind as is all of their staff. The nurses could not be more warm and encouraging either. I got a little scared before the procedure and the nurse was so sweet and helped calm my nerves. Even little touches like their bedding being warm, my gown was warm all helped make it a positive experience.

They are very streamlined and helpful. They also followed up and were always friendly.

Been going to Granite peaks for over 20 years. I recently did a research study with them for my reflux. The study identified an issue and they have followed up on my behalf. Dr. Destined and his anesthesia and nursing staff are amazing. Easy scheduling. Prompt time in office. Cannot say enough.

6/30/25 colonoscopy experience for my wife was exceptional. Unfortunately, she required a 2nd (2 day) prep, as the first one was not sufficient.

Utah Gastroenterology / Dr. Schmidt were great! In the END, it was definitely not CRAPPY, BUT it was a BUMMER, that I couldn't spend more time with some of the CHEEKY staff! We'll done UG... well done!

My initial contact with GP Gastro was a little frustrating because I had to call a couple of times before being able to make an appointment. Irma, the scheduler was not warm, but was able to get me in within just a few weeks. She did send me information on how to prepare for my procedure, which was appreciated.
I had my first procedure with GP Gastro today. The medical center was clean, and the staff was INCREDIBLY nice. I was checked in as soon as I arrived. Grace, the MA that reviewed my medical history and placed my IV, was kind and helpful. Mike, the Nurse Anesthesiologist was pleasant and made sure I understood what would happen and that I was be comfortable before administering the medication. When the procedure was finished, the doctor waited until my husband was in the recovery area to review the findings in case either of us had questions. It was a nice, clean endoscopy center, and so nice to be treated without having to go to a hospital. If you can make it through scheduling, I would encourage you to go.

Had an EGD done and the staff and people who worked with me were terrific. They all were very attentive to my emotional and physical needs. They made sure I knew what was going to happen, and answered all my questions. I really appreciated the nurses. Especially Jade, and Morgan. They are special. They made me comfortable, at ease and made sure I was doing well before during and after. They say after I received a call from Jade to make sure everything was fine and if I started the medications they prescribed me. Couldn’t ask for better treatment!

Fasting for a day and a half and drinking the colonoscopy prep drink can really turn someone into a complete jerk. I showed up to the clinic just wanting to get it over with. They seem to understand this and I’m sure most people feel this way as they walk into their clinic. Checking in was easy. I didn’t wait long and the nurse doing all the prep work on me was absolutely incredible. Covered all the information I thought I would ever need to know. The doctor asked me all the right questions and answered the ones I had in detail. The anesthesiologist was quick to get me under the next thing I knew was I was starting to wake up and could hear my wife complaining about how she only got two chapters into her book. They understood that my throat would be dry and gave me options for a drink. Funny thing is that Dr. Cutler asked me where my favorite place to eat was just before I went under. After the procedure he told my wife that I needed to go home but not until I’ve eaten at my favorite place to eat. Got to follow Dr. Orders right?
