The American Cancer Society estimates that 40,000 Americans will be diagnosed with liver cancer this year, and 28,000 will die from this disease. But routine screening of the general population is not recommended. So who should be screened?<\/p>\n

The following people should be screened for liver cancer:
\n<\/strong>All people with cirrhosis (severe scarring of the liver) from any<\/strong> cause should be screened.<\/p>\n

The following people with chronic hepatitis B should be screened:<\/p>\n
