R. Kyle Barnett, M.D.

Dr. Barnett attended Texas Tech University for his undergraduate studies and was accepted to Texas Tech University School of Medicine after three years, where he received his Doctor of Medicine Degree in 1987. He completed his internship and residency with Board Certification in the field of Internal Medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine in 1990.

He returned to Texas and completed his Gastroenterology fellowship with Board Certification at Scott and White Clinic and Hospital/Texas A&M School of Medicine in Temple, Texas in 1994.

Following completion of his fellowship he joined a gastroenterology practice in Shreveport, Louisiana where he practiced from 1994-2008. He is involved in GI research as well as the inpatient and outpatient practice of gastroenterology including gastrointestinal, biliary, liver and pancreatic disorders.

He is on the Active Staff at Alta View and St. Mark's hospitals and is on all insurance panels in Utah.

Dr. Barnett is married to a native Utah girl and he and his wife have three children. They are excited to be back in Utah and enjoy the outdoor opportunities and wonderful community that the Salt Lake valley offers.
